Robert W. Aube Jr., O.D.

Dr. Aube graduated from Boston College in 1988, Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa, with a B.S. in Physics. He obtained his Doctorate in Optometry in 1992 from the New England College of Optometry. He served as the National President of the American Optometric Student Association from 1991-92, and started practicing at Rocky Hill Eye Associates after graduating. Dr. Aube started Visual Perceptions in 1997 in his home town of Rocky Hill, where he currently lives with his wife and four children. In 2000, Dr. Aube was named Connecticut’s Young Optometrist of the Year, and in 2009 he received the Best of Rocky Hill Award for Optometrists. He continues to be an active member of the community, supporting local youth sports and organizations. Dr. Aube is the sole owner of Visual Perceptions, LLC in Rocky Hill and is the co-owner of Visual Perceptions Vernon, LLC with Dr. Ferentini.

Linda Shilberg, O.D.

Dr. Linda Shilberg was raised in Bristol, Connecticut and has been a Rocky Hill resident for over 25 years. She completed her undergraduate studies as a biology major at Adelphi University in Garden City, New York. At Adelphi University, she was inducted into the Beta Beta Beta Biological Honor Society. After completion of her undergraduate degree, Dr. Shilberg obtained her OD degree at the New England College of Optometry in 1980. Dr. Shilberg’s optometric career has encompassed a variety of settings. She has been associated with a private ophthalmological practice, a non-profit clinic and until recently a health maintenance organization affiliated with Yale University. At the Yale University Health Services, her role as a staff optometrist included in-service lectures to other health care providers as well as submitting eye care related articles for publication. Dr, Shilberg practices full scope optometry as allowed by Connecticut law. She enthusiastically joined Visual Perceptions in 2009.

Peter Staiger, M.D.

Dr. Staiger is a graduate of New York Medical College and has been practicing Ophthalmology since 2001. He completed a one year internship in Internal Medicine at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, New York, and completed his Ophthalmology residency at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York, where he was Chief Resident in Ophthalmology. He has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences from Hunter College in New York City, graduating Summa cum Laude, and was awarded the Jonas Salk Award for undergraduate research in the Life Sciences. He joined the Visual Perceptions team in 2010.

Karen

Karen is a Licensed Optician with 36 years of experience in the optical field. She was the General Manager for two major optical retailers for 31 years and brought her skills to our Rocky Hill practice in early 2010.

Tracey

Tracey completed her schooling for medical billing at Branford Hall in 2010. She joined the Rocky Hill team in 2010.

Johanna

Johanna brings years of strong managerial, administrative and customer service skills to our office. She attended Central Connecticut State University and recently attained her certificate as a CPC and is a member of the AAPC. She joined the practice in 2010.

Linda

Linda is a Licensed Optician who has over 11 years of experience in the optical field. Her specialty is helping patients select eyewear that looks great, and lenses that are the best for their prescription and lifestyle. Linda has a great fashion sense along with her knowledge of what looks great and fits right. She joined the practice in 2010.

Kate

Kate has 7 years of dedicated clerical and customer service in our Rocky Hill location.

Tarra Beth

Tarra-beth has been a Licensed Optician for 13 years. She performed a fellowship at Yale and has been a member of the Rocky Hill practice since 2009.

Dave

Dave has been a member of the Rocky Hill team since 2008.
