Dr.
Catherine Ferentini grew up in Westchester County in New York. She went
to Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, New York. She then went to the
University of Houston College of Optometry and graduated in 1987. She
became Chief of Optometric Services for CIGNA Healthplan of Houston and
was honored as Clinician of the Year in 1993.
Dr. Ferentini moved back to Connecticut and became Clinical
Director of Robbins Eye Center in Bridgeport. She expanded her clinical
skills by working closely with Kim Robbins, M.D., a highly skilled
ophthalmologist in LASIK and Cataract surgery. She left that position
to bring her professional services to the Kensington and Vernon area.
She partners with Dr. Robert Aube at the Vernon location. She owns the
Kensington location and provides therapeutic optometric care with her
associate, Dr. Alison Baikal.
Dr. Ferentini has satisfied the statutory
requirements mandated by the state of Connecticut by the Public Act
92-88, to administer, prescribe and dispense diagnostic and therapeutic
pharmaceutical agents for the purpose of diagnosis and treatment of eye
disease in accordance with the scope of optometric practice.
Dr. Ferentini provides services at both the Vernon location
and the Kensington location.
